Defendants Louise P. Bradshaw and Thomas H. Fergus were charged by bill of information with having violated La.R.S. 40:967, governing distribution of marijuana, a controlled dangerous substance.

At arraignment on January 28,1981, both defendants pleaded not guilty. Later, as a result of plea bargaining, the defendants were allowed to withdraw their former pleas and enter pleas of guilty...
