These two cases were consolidated for trial in the district court and for argument here. They arise out of a one-car automobile accident which occurred on U. S. Highway 90 near Bridge City in the Parish of Jefferson. Charles M. Guidry, the driver, was killed and his guest passenger, Charles E. Mormon, was injured.
