Appellant Hatton was charged by information with the following:

count 1. class B felony robbery, Ind. Code § 35-42-5-1 (Burns Supp. 1982); count 2. class B felony criminal confinement, Ind. Code § 35-42-3-3 (Burns Supp. 1982); count 3. class D felony theft, Ind. Code § 35-43-4-2 (Burns Supp. 1982); and count 4. class D felony theft, Ind. Code § 35-43-4-2 (Burns Supp. 1982).
