At approximately 4:00 a. m. on October 13, 1978, the S/T LADY MARGARET caught fire and burned while on the ways at the Seabrook Shipyard in Seabrook, Texas. At the time of the fire, the captain, George Bosarge, and a fellow crewmember, Gerald Douglas Davis, were on board. Bosarge, asleep in his cabin, awoke to find his room engulfed in flames.
