This appeal is taken by the defendant, Randall Hert, from his conviction of two counts of home invasion (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 12-11(a)) and two counts of armed violence (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 33A-2) following a bench trial. The defendant was sentenced to concurrent terms of 18 years' imprisonment on the two home invasion counts...
