This admiralty action concerns the sinking of the harbor tug TAMPA in Tampa Bay on November 11, 1975, as the TAMPA was assisting the S/T AMOCO NEW YORK. Gulf Towing Company, the charterer of the TAMPA, and Marine Tugs, Inc., the owner, brought their claims individually and for the use and benefits of their insurers to recover damages resulting from the sinking of the TAMPA.
