The appellant, while operating his motorcycle on Vermont Route 104A in Georgia, on the afternoon of 31 August 1979, apparently lost control and had an accident. He suffered severe head and facial injuries and was transported by ambulance to the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington. At the emergency room of the hospital, at the insistence of the investigating state trooper, he was processed for driving while under the influence of intoxicating...
