Defendant Glenn Schultz, Jr. appeals from his conviction, after bench trial, for the 1973 bludgeon murder of Bridgette Regli, a 16-year-old Crete-Monee High School student. Two other men, Arthur Garza and Philip Kline, have been convicted of murder for their participation in the killing of Miss Regli. Those convictions have been upheld by this court. (People v. Garza (1981),
