I. BACKGROUND

Timothy George Baldwin was convicted by a jury in the Fourth Judicial District Court, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, of first degree murder for the robbing and heinous beating to death of an 85 year old woman. The attack was effectuated by the use of various objects in the victim's home. She was found semi-conscious the next morning and taken to a nearby hospital where she died the following day...
