This case involves an alleged wrongful discharge under Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated article 8307c. Richards was fired by Hughes Tool Company in 1975 shortly after he was hurt on the job. Trial was to a jury which found that Richards was discharged for instituting proceedings to claim workers compensation benefits. The trial court entered judgment on the verdict.
