Robert Weidman, the plaintiff, is a former employee of Western Electric Company who was retired on October 16, 1976. He contends that he was forced to retire during a reduction in the work force and that his retirement was in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, 29 U.S.C. § 621 et seq. (ADEA). Western Electric contends that the plaintiff's age was not a factor in his selection...
