The principal issue before us is whether, under the Maryland long-arm statute, and consistent with the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, a Maryland court may exercise personal jurisdiction over the appellee, a Virginia car dealer who sold a vehicle to a Maryland resident, in an action brought by a Maryland resident to recover for injuries allegedly caused in Maryland by defects in that vehicle.
