Deck and Decker Personnel Consultants filed suit against Tracy Thomas for the balance due on a promissory note representing a fee for obtaining employment for Thomas. Thomas filed a counterclaim seeking actual and punitive damages for the refusal of Deck and Decker to make a refund of a part of the fee. The jury found in favor of Thomas on Deck and Decker's claim, and found in favor of Thomas on his counterclaim and awarded him $30.81 actual...
