This is a petition by the State of Alabama to review a decision of the Court of Criminal Appeals which reversed a murder conviction and remanded the case to the trial court for a new trial.

Respondent Phillip Richardson was convicted in the Circuit Court of Randolph County of first degree murder and was duly sentenced to life imprisonment. He appealed and the Court of Criminal Appeals overturned his conviction on the grounds that certain questions...
