On November 20, 1980, the appellant Vernon Johns, entered pleas of guilty to a four-count indictment charging burglary, entering an automobile with intent to commit theft, and forgery of two checks. He was sentenced to 10 years each on Counts 1, 3, and 4, and to 5 years on Count 2. On each count he was sentenced to serve two years in the penitentiary and eight years on probation.
