On January 17, 1979, an automobile accident occurred in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, involving a car driven by the plaintiff, William C. Sweeney, Jr., and a truck owned and operated by the defendant Del-Val Tire Company. Jurisdiction of the Court is based on diversity of citizenship pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1332(a).
