Defendant was charged with second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, in connection with the death of his daughter. On January 24, 1980, defendant was convicted by a jury of the crime of voluntary manslaughter, MCL 750.321; MSA 28.553. He was sentenced to a prison term of from 10 to 15 years and appeals as of right.
