Defendant, William Hopson, entered a plea of guilty pursuant to a negotiated plea agreement with the State's Attorney. Defendant later filed a motion to withdraw his plea. After a hearing, the court denied the motion. Defendant now appeals and alleges that the trial court erred in denying his motion to withdraw his guilty plea and that he was denied the effective assistance of counsel...
