On July 31, 1980 Hilda Allen ("Allen") filed this action under 42 U.S.C. § 1981 ("Section 1981") against her employer, Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital ("Schwab"), alleging that Schwab had engaged in various acts of discrimination against Allen because she is black.
