Appellant, David Thomas, a Philadelphia Police Officer, was tried by a judge sitting without a jury and found guilty of simple assault1, aggravated assault2, criminal conspiracy3, and possession of an instrument of crime4. Post-verdict motions were denied and appellant was sentenced to a four year probationary term.
