On January 16, 1980, defendant was convicted of attempted larceny by false pretenses, MCL 750.218; MSA 28.415 and MCL 750.92; MSA 28.287. On February 5, 1980, he was sentenced to three years probation with the first six months to be served in the Detroit House of Corrections.
