On December 1, 1977, Adolph Amelkin, who was employed as a pipefitter by the Hunter Corporation in the construction of a nuclear plant in Byron, Illinois, injured his back when walking to a company warehouse to pick up building materials. He received medical treatment and remained off work until February 22, 1978...
