A jury convicted defendant of forcible rape (Pen. Code, § 261) and found he used a deadly weapon in the commission of that crime. (Pen. Code, § 12022, subd. (b).) He was sentenced to consecutive terms of eight years in prison for the rape, one year for the use of the weapon, and three years for a prior prison term served for a violent felony. (Pen.
