Petitioner, William Robinson, was charged with first degree murder. The first trial resulted in a hung jury. He was again tried and convicted in 1972 of first degree murder. His conviction was reversed on appeal by this Court in 1973. Robinson v. State, (1973) 260 Ind. 517, 297 N.E.2d 409. In 1974, petitioner was convicted by a jury of second degree murder and sentenced to a term of life imprisonment...
