The issue before us in the state's appeal from a grant of habeas corpus is whether petitioner was denied effective assistance of counsel. Petitioner Jones pled guilty to two counts of burglary and two counts of theft by taking and was sentenced to five years for each count of burglary, five years for one count of theft by taking and two years for the other count of theft by taking.
