In the early morning of January 16, 1980, Edmond Pelletier was arrested in Waterville after two police officers noticed his erratic driving. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor. 29 M.R.S.A. § 1312. A blood test taken after arrest showed an alcohol level of .29 percent.
