On May 8, 1975, defendant was convicted by a Kent County Circuit Court jury of obtaining money over $100 under false pretenses in violation of MCL 750.218; MSA 28.415. Defendant was sentenced to serve four to ten years imprisonment. Defendant was denied bond pending appeal.
