Defendant appeals from his plea-based conviction of armed robbery contrary to MCL 750.529; MSA 28.797. He was subsequently sentenced to serve 7-1/2 to 30 years.

On appeal, defendant argues that his plea-based conviction for armed robbery must be reversed because he was not advised of the mandatory minimum sentence consequences of an armed robbery. GCR 1963, 785.7(1)(d) requires that the trial court must advise a defendant of "the mandatory...
