Edward Charles Springfield appeals from convictions of first degree robbery and second degree assault.

The only issues raised by counsel concern identification testimony by the State. Counsel contends the trial court erred in admitting evidence of an unnecessarily and impermissibly suggestive pretrial showup and in failing to require the State to prove an independent basis for an in-court identification of the defendant made by his victim.
