Following the work-related death in 1979 of the employee, Earl Ladner, Jr., the Workers' Compensation Commission determined that the following were entitled to death benefits (pursuant to 39 M.R.S.A. § 58): (1) Shawn Ladner, the employee's widow; and (2) Corinna Ladner, Darci Ladner, and Bryan Ladner, the employee's three minor children from the previous marriage of the employee and Vivian Williams.
