McFATE, Judge (Retired).

In 1971, at the age of forty-eight, appellant retired from the United States Air Force, after twenty years service. He thereafter received military retirement pay, amounting to $211.00 per month and, on account of a forty percent service-connected disability, the further sum of $257.00 per month.
