This is an executive officer negligence action arising out of events that occurred prior to the enactment of Act 147 of 1976 amending LSA-R.S. 23:1032, which now precludes such action. Plaintiff, employed as a welder by Gulf Marine Fabricators, Inc., hereinafter Gulf Marine, sustained a serious and disabling injury to his back when he fell through a hole in the steel floor of a production platform in Gulf Marine's storage yard.
