A mortgage foreclosure by advertisement was instituted against appellees, Alfred and Janet Bennett, in November 1979. The sheriff conducted a public sale of their home on January 4, 1980. Appellant, First Savings and Loan Association of Saginaw (hereinafter First Savings), was the mortgagee and only bidder at that sale.
