The Grand Jury of Etowah County returned an indictment against the appellant, Loretta Jean Bell, charging her with the first degree murder of Walter Lee Bell by stabbing him with a knife. Appellant entered a plea of not guilty. A jury found the appellant guilty of murder in the second degree, and fixed her punishment at imprisonment in the penitentiary for twenty years.
