On October 16, 1979, defendant entered a negotiated plea of guilty to an information charging him with three counts of armed robbery. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 18-2.) He was sentenced to concurrent terms of 9 years in the penitentiary.
