Before trial defendant made a motion to suppress certain items of evidence. These items consisted of money, a coat, a cap, and a pair of gloves, all of which had been seized by the police from the automobile in which defendant had been a passenger at the time of his arrest for the offenses charged. The basis for the motion to suppress was defendant's contention that the items were illegally seized by the police following the unreasonable search...
