Defendants appeal from a judgment on a special verdict which found the City of Madison, Police Chief Couper and Police Captain Scrivner negligent as to maintaining the confidentiality of plaintiff's identity as a paid police informer, and awarded plaintiff $21,800 damages. We affirm the judgment as to the city and reverse the judgment as to defendants Couper and Scrivner.
