In June 1978, the parties entered into a contract for the purchase and sale of the defendants' house. Two months later, the plaintiffs moved in, and shortly after that they discovered that the building was infested by termites. Subsequently, the plaintiffs filed a bill in equity, seeking rescission of the contract and damages.
