Defendant, Paulino Aldape, Jr., appeals from his conviction of first-degree murder in violation of sections 690.1-.2, The Code 1977. We affirm.

On September 1, 1977, Douglas Furth was found dead in the basement of his home in West Des Moines. An autopsy revealed that Furth had been shot in the head twice with what was later determined to be a .22 caliber rifle.
