Court of Appeals of Wisconsin.

Decided September 23, 1981.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

For the defendant-appellant the cause was submitted on the brief of Glenn L. Cushing, assistant state public defender.

For the plaintiff-respondent the cause was submitted on the brief of Bronson C. La Follette, attorney general, and John J. Glinski, assistant attorney general.

Before Voss, P.J., Brown and Scott, JJ.

The issue in this case is whether the prosecution was entitled to withhold information at trial concerning the identity of an informant. It appears reasonably probable from the record that the informant would have been able to give testimony relevant and helpful to the accused. Failure to require the prosecution to disclose the informant's identity in these circumstances is reversible error.
