Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of the offenses of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 9-1) and armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 18-2), and was sentenced to concurrent terms of 35 and 30 years imprisonment, respectively.
