Defendant was charged in district court with the misdemeanor offense of possession of the controlled substance lysurgic acid diethylamide (LSD), and with the felony offense of possession of phencyclidine (PCP). Following a preliminary examination, the district court retained jurisdiction of the misdemeanor offense and bound defendant over to circuit court on the PCP charge.
