On July 28, 1976 at about 5:30 A.M., Alonzo "Big Al" Johnson was shot three times in front of 89 Lenox Avenue. A police officer who came on the scene almost immediately took Mr. Johnson to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead. An investigation into the homicide yielded no leads until November of 1977 when a Detective Cappetta was introduced to Eugene Ricci by another detective who used Mr. Ricci and his wife Patricia as informants...
