This matter is before us for disposition of defendant's post verdict motions in arrest of judgment and for a new trial. After a trial before a jury, at which the Honorable Donald E. Wieand presided, defendant was acquitted of six of the seven counts against him and found guilty of the misdemeanor of tampering with witnesses and informants.1
