In a petition for appellate review brought pursuant to Florida Rule of Appellate Procedure 9.100(d),1 the Miami Herald asks us to rule that the trial court erred when it closed the courtroom and then denied the press and public access to tapes of testimony presented during a criminal pretrial competency hearing conducted by the court.
