NEBEKER, Associate Judge:

Appellant was indicted for first-degree felony murder while armed, D.C. Code 1973, §§ 22-2401, -3202, attempted robbery while armed, id., -2902, -3202, and carrying a pistol without a license, id. -3204. During the course of trial the prosecutor impeached a government rebuttal witness with a prior inconsistent statement made to the grand jury.1
