The plaintiffs, twelve longshoremen, appeal the judgment of the district court, 432 F.Supp. 491 (D.Or.1977), dismissing actions against Portland Stevedoring Company, Pacific Maritime Association (PMA), and Local 21 of the International Longshoremen's and Warehousemen's Union (Local 21). The district court conducted a bench trial, following which it found that Local 21 did not breach its duty...
