The United States filed this action to condemn 3,035.73 acres of land in Arkansas for use as a fish and wildlife habitat. The lands are heavily forested in hardwood and wetland timber. S. Norris Broadhead, Paul E. Broadhead and the Estate of Sam E. Broadhead (Broadheads) were the fee owners of all except a small portion of the land.
