Robert Earl Godbold petitioned for a writ of mandamus to compel the district court to grant him credit for 174 days presentence confinement time. Godbold claims that the respondent court's failure to credit his sentence with time spent in presentence confinement violated his constitutional guarantee of equal protection of the laws.
