Pitts was convicted of the capital felony murder of Dr. Bernard Jones, committed in the course of kidnapping, and was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. For reversal he questions two rulings about the admissibility of evidence and, secondarily, the sufficiency of the evidence to support the verdict.
